This means you actually have someĬ n' C in regards to how you develop your capitals Vasari imo is the race which has the most radical faction differences: loyalist vasari can eventually become a migrant fleet which doesn't need planets to thrive and rebel vasari can allow team mates to use their phase gates (in an MP game this is a massive deal).Īh but capital ships can now go up to lvl4 in a skill, with the maximum level cap of 10 still being in play. The faction system I'd compare it to company of heroes doctrines in that as you tech up a factions unique abilities you will be encouraged to invest in that factions prefered playstyle (loyalist TEC can build 2 starbases eventually+sturdier buildings, so whilst nothing prohibits you from not building defences, you'd be an absolute fool not to invest heavily in what your faction does best). It's no exageration to say most sins mod added new stuff (and in case of maelstorm mod not only added titans, but also SUPER titans too, and 3 new races whilst we are at it), but I believe this is the fault of MP. Otherwise having got the game and playing the beta on/off in the last few weeks:
